Surveyors are split over this "typical convention hotel" in central Dallas: some love the new "Tower Royale – a hotel within a hotel" that offers upscale amenities including a club level floor, rooms with feather beds and 32-inch flat-panel TVs, and a dedicated concierge, but others are brought down by "mediocre service" and "so-so" food, deeming it a "monstrously large", "low-end" conference property.

The location was great!
My spouse got sick from the coffee creamer in the room. It was out of date.

It was clean.
Service was horrible, expensive parking, and really small rooms.

This is one of the nicest rooms I've stayed at. The rooms are the size of a bathroom. I called for towels and it took them 2 hours to bring them. My remote didn't work and it took them 2 hours to replace it. The coffee creamer in the room was bad and had turned to a gel. Toilet keep smelling when one of the other rooms used theirs. And the price of the parking was too high. This hotel is no more than a 2 star and is no way a 3 1/2 star level hotel. It didn't have a refrigerator, which most hotels have at 3 stars and up. ...read more

The price and location to public transportation. The staff was very helpful.
They charged $8.95 just to receive a package and $9.95 a day for internet.

It was very nice for the price paid. Clean large rooms everything you would expect from a 3.5 / 4 star hotel.

The beds were comfortable and views were fabulous.
Charges for parking and internet access were excessive.

I loved the hotel and the views were amazing. I don't like the fact that you can get free internet access in most moderately priced hotels, but the nicer ones charge a premium. Also $20 for a refrigerator was ridiculous as well as parking for $15 + taxes was excessive. ...read more

Courteous staff.
Very poor lighting in room.

Staff was friendly. However, room was not geared towards petite females. Bathroom lighting and room lighting was very poor, though all light fixtures were on. Magnifying makeup mirror in bathroom could not be lowered for ladies under 65 inches tall. Other than lighting, business traveler would enjoy because of the many electrical outlets in room for connecting rechargeable devices. ...read more
